Our Casita

We've finally managed to get our home into a livable state.  No more boxes to unpack but we still have some organizing to do.

Allow me to give you a tour of our new place.

We have a 1 bed/1 bath apartment on the third floor.  It is just the right size for us.

Above you see a photo from the entry was into the living area.  We purchase a new couch, TV stand and TV!  As you can see our limited art on the walls had us thinking of how to design on a dime in my last post.   The glass pane door on the right of the photo is leading into our bedroom.

Looking into our room.

Our living space.  From our bedroom doorway.

Our office/storage space.

The front door is just out of this shot to the right.  So if you turned around you'd see the view in the picture above.  This is our sectioned off office/storage space.  It used to have doors - but the management was gracious enough to remove them for us, it transformed the space considerably!

Our kitchen and the hubby!

Our kitchen isn't huge but it does the job - as you can see above the cabinets are our unpacked gifts and such that are included in my previous statement of "we have some organizing to do!"  Believe it or not, this kitchen is actually what I considered the "selling point" of this apartment - you should have seen the others...

What Nolan was making in the kitchen.

We went expoloring in our neighborhood yesterday, found a theater to see Alice in Wonderland and Gene's Sausage Shop & Delicatessen, a two story mecca of wine, cheese, meats, beer, baked goods, fruit, and all other things yummy!  We celebrated our little find with a nice appetizer (that ended up being my dinner) of crackers, cheese, sausage!  Gluttonous much?

Other apartment projects in the works:

New curtains to sheild our storage wall.
 Before.

Now.  Soon there will be two panels!

Our artsy plate wall design.

Our inspiration.

Our collection thus far.  Found in 3 different thrift stores yesterday totaling $7!
