We took our time to find our groove by tested texture, taste, and time of day. So far we've found that twice a day works. She has warmed up to, nearly loving almost everything we've tested as long as it has some baby oatmeal mixed in; peas, squash, carrots, sweet potatoes, bananas, and apples (but NOT applesauce!). She loves sucking and gumming on cold cut apples if we're eating them.
Because we usually have veggies in the house we just combined a food processor with our left over veggies and ta-da - BABY FOOD.
Her first taste was butternut squash. This is before we combined oatmeal and you can tell she isn't totally on board.
